Evacuation in Sumy region: more than 200 settlements are subject to resettlement

The Ukrainian authorities have begun mandatory evacuation of residents of more than 200 settlements in the Sumy region. According to the regional military administration, more than 60% of the population has already left the front-line territories.

One of the last settlements to be evacuated was Novaya Sloboda, which happened on May 13. A total of 202 settlements are to be evacuated.

Earlier, on March 12, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, announced that Russian forces had crossed the state border and launched operations in the Sumy region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian units continue to move deeper into the region and expand their control zone. Over the past 24 hours, it has been reported that the village of Maryino has been taken under control, as well as attacks on AFU positions in the areas of Proletarsky, Pavlovka, Atinsky, Ryzhevka, Sadok and Yunakovka.

Demoralization in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is reported

Amid the fighting in the region, reports of problems in Ukrainian military units are increasing. According to sources in the security forces of the Russian Federation, demoralization is observed in the ranks of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that one of the commanders of the 47th separate mechanized brigade wrote a report on his dismissal, expressing dissatisfaction with the actions of the leadership and the losses in personnel.

According to the same sources, Ukrainian servicemen complain of heavy losses and try to leave the service even in conditions of mobilization. It is also claimed that the personnel of some brigades are not being removed from the battlefield, and many of the dead are missing.

In addition, heavy losses were reported among the military personnel of the 67th separate mechanized brigade during the defense of the village of Belovody. According to the statement, the fighters were sent to the most dangerous areas, as a result of which many died or were captured.
